What is Hydrafacial MD?

Hydrafacial is a non-invasive treatment that provides instant results for all skin types with no downtime. The Hydrafacial is a 30-45 min treatment that uses a vacuum tip with vortex technology to remove dead skin cells and extracts impurities while simultaneously infusing the skin with cleansing, hydrating and moisturizing serums. The treatment is soothing, refreshing, non- irritating and immediately effective.

Is there only one type of Hydrafacial?

At Begin with Skin Medspa we offer two types of Hydrafacial- Hydrafacial Express and Hydrafacial LUXE. The Hydrafacial LUXE offers a special treatment boosters such as Growth Factor for fine lines and wrinkles, Brightenol for pigmentation and Dermal Builder to target aging with a combination of peptides. Both Hydrafacials include LED lights, red for cellular rejuvenation and blue to target P.Acnes in the skin.

Hydrafacial also offers PERKS for Lips and Eyes that are special targeted treatments for the most vulnerable of areas. With each PERK you receive your serum to bring home to continue your treatment.  

How do I take care of my skin after a Hydrafacial? How many treatment do I need?

You may put on makeup and return to your normal activities right after the treatment since there is no downtime. One treatment per month is recommended to maintain results and continued Hydrafacial treatments are highly recommended. Often an initial series of 6 treatments performed 1-2x a month is a great way to get your skin on the right track and look amazing.

Are there any contraindications for the Hydrafacial MD?

There are a few contraindications for hydrafacial. If you are allergic to mushrooms, aspirin or have a shellfish allergy please let us know. We can perform a sensitivity test.

If you are having a Hydrafacial MD:

Avoid Retin A or Retinol products 3-5 days prior to treatment

Avoid any waxing 1-2 weeks before treatment

Must wait 2 weeks post Botox or Filler

Can not have an active sunburn

Can not have an active skin infection

Hydrafacial can not be performed on anyone on Accutaine or has been on Accutaine in the past 12 months

Can not be pregnant or nursing.
